Get the host app
Run your DAW and invite people into it. Sign in to your account, then install the host app from your dashboard.
Windows will flag this installer.
The host app is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen shows a blue “Windows protected your PC” screen and Defender may quarantine the file. That is expected for a new unsigned app and is not a detection of anything in it.
Since 9 September 2026 the Download button installs the Prodrooms Hub, which replaces the old Prodrooms app. Same rooms, same account. It installs per user without an admin prompt, updates itself in the background, and keeps the room settings across updates. Hosting a room still needs a beta code until the open beta.
Already on the old app? Open it once: its update card installs the hub for you. Then remove the old Prodrooms from Apps & features.
The beta and canary channels get builds ahead of everyone once they open; a link that has nothing yet says so. The same Windows warning applies until the code is signed.
1. Sign in (or create an account).
2. Open your dashboard.
3. Click Install host app, click through the Windows warning, then open your DAW and start a room.
Windows 10 or 11. An NVIDIA GPU is optional and enables the highest-quality mode; every other machine uses the built-in software encoder. Guests join in a browser and install nothing.
